IELTS, the International English Language Testing System, is designed to assess the language ability of candidates who need to study or work where English is the language of communication.
IELTS is recognised by universities and employers in many countries, including Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK and the USA. It is also recognised by professional bodies, immigration authorities and other government agencies.
IELTS preparation course prepares candidates for the test which is focused on four different skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking. Without the preparation course many students score 6 or below, which does not allow them to access higher education.
IELTS is available in two formats – Academic and General Training.
The Academic Module assesses the level of English of a candidate aiming to study at an undergraduate or postgraduate level. Admission to undergraduate or postgraduate courses is based on the results of this module.
The General Training Module General Training is suitable for candidates who are going to English-speaking countries to complete their secondary education, to undertake work experience or training programmes not at degree level or for immigration purposes for Australia, Canada and New Zealand.
